Dear IGAL-member! Dear genealogical researcher!
Like the newsletter shows, IGAL got grown up. The IGAL-society was founded almost two years ago.
The first executive commitee of IGAL has finished his legislative period session and the number of
members is increasing into heights we never imagined and the access to our homepage is as high
as expected.
The homepage-team Werner and Sigi and the executive commitee want to say thank you to all who
helped us to obtain this success.

1. Election of the new executive commitee
The new executive commitee was elected with impressionable vote. The only change compared to the
first legislative period session was the position of the vice-treasurer. Thanks to Evelyn Doerler for her
engagement for the last two years and welcome to Anton Benzer The cash auditors Otmar Holzer and
Reinhard Müller also were elected for a second period. More details can be found at our homepage

2. New members
The number of members has increased since the first plenary meeting to 55 persons. We invite
everybody to introduce himself/herself. Please send us pictures or any corrections to the

3. New partnership society Heraldisch-Genealogischen Gesellschaft - "Adler"
We are pleased to inform you that we have a second partnership society the Heraldisch-Genealogische
Gesellschaft - "Adler". Siegfried had the opportunity to visit this society in Vienna. He was impressed
by the huge library and their members are willed to give us needed information.
By the way the name of their chairman is "Vogel" and some of his roots are in Vorarlberg. Eveline who
speaks french will support us concerning the region France. More information you will find at our

4. New club house, new dates for our meetings
In January for our second plenary we met in restaurant "Lamm" as it has a better infrastructure and a
larger rooms. We decided to use this facility more often because it has a beamer which will help us
to train our members using our homepage.
We ask all members to bring their datas to our next meetings.
In future will have our meetings every month. Exact dates are published at our homepage [Aktuelles].
Those who would liked to be informed personally, please announce yourself to Robert Boesch.
Vice-chairman Helmut Hollenstein is responsibly for the dates.

5. United meetings with the society "Geschichtswerkstatt (=historical workshop) Dornbirn"
Chairman Siegfried Koenig will arrange a meeting with the society "Geschichtswerkstatt" and inform
you as soon as possible. Among other things the society has published a CD with court
records about the time 1679 to 1709, there is a photo for every record, a literal and an analogous
translation.
Congratulation to the Geschichtswerkstatt!!!!!!

Many IGAL-members have old photos, which are perfect for postcard greetings. Please send the best

The membership fee for the year 2004 stays unchanged. Please give the money personally to our
cashier or pay it to our account (BAWAG Bregenz Vorkloster, BLZ 14000, account number
